Hypochlorous acid is naturally produced by the body as part of its defense system. The Echo Clean™ uses similar technology to generate hypochlorous acid in a convenient, easy-to-use spray bottle, providing an effective cleaning solution for daily use.
By adding a pinch of kosher salt, the Echo Clean™ can produce sodium hypochlorite, a cleaning solution similar to diluted bleach. While it has a bleach-like scent, this solution is intended for household cleaning purposes. Avoid direct contact with skin or food when using sodium hypochlorite.

Because the Echo Clean™ produces powerful natural cleaners, it requires minimal maintenance. There’s no need to sanitize your Echo Clean™ since it does that with each cycle, but you can use a solution of water and vinegar to remove any buildup that may occur over time.
Because the Echo Clean™ creates both hypochlorous acid and sodium hypochlorite (when used with salt), we recommend that you do not use the solution on your skin or food when you use salt.
